The Circular Economy Lab is technical partner of Tech4Planet of CDP Venture Capital SGR

Environmental Sustainability was at the center of CDP Venture Capital's Tech Transfer Day, the event held on October 4th in which the first results of Tech4Planet – Polo di trasferimento tecnologico were presented. The Hub, created last year on the initiative of CDP Venture Capital SGR in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino and Politecnico di Bari, is entirely dedicated to sustainability and sees, unsurprisingly, the participation of the Circular Economy Lab in quality of technical partner.

"For Intesa Sanpaolo the circular economy is a new way of doing economics, of designing businesses and redefining business models, in the context of what is called the regenerative economy of natural capital - stated Massimiano Tellini, Global Head Circular Economy of Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, during the Tech4Planet event - To achieve this goal, Intesa Sanpaolo has created, in collaboration with Fondazione Cariplo and Cariplo Factory, the Circular Economy Lab, to provide operational support to companies and startups involved in this process of evolution ".

The Tech4Planet initiative, worth a total of 65 million euros, provides for direct investment in startups born from academic research and the financing of venture capital managers specialized in frontier technologies for the ecological transition. In total, the estimated potential leverage effect amounts to more than 130 million euros over 4 years, at a time when investments in Venture Capital in the environmental sustainability sector increased eightfold between 2014 and 2019, with a rate growth of five times higher than the more general Venture Capital.
