“The Circle. Laboratories for a Circular Future”: the event organized by CE Lab at Cariplo Factory.
A morning dedicated to deepen the characteristics of the circular economy and its impact on the daily lives of millions of people. A fundamental moment of exchange and dialogue between experts and high school students. An opportunity to explore how the circular economy model adds value to things, processes and the relationship between objects and raw materials, making each individual feel like an active part of a broader and interdependent context.
This was the main goal of the meeting organized by the Circular Economy Lab with the students of ENAIP school and hosted at Cariplo Factory this Wednesday, April 17th, as part of the project “The Circle. Laboratories for a Circular Future”, promoted by Fondazione Cariplo with Gallerie d’Italia of Intesa Sanpaolo and with the collaboration of IED.
In particular, the speech by Chiara Firmani, innovation manager of Cariplo Factory, confirmed the importance of promoting collaboration among different market players – especially innovative startups and corporations – to encourage the establishment of the new circular paradigm, with a focus of the Circular Economy Lab’s projects in the field of polluting emissions and the healthcare sector.
In addition to Chiara Firmani, at the meeting there were also Diana Pozzoli, Vice Director of the Research Area of Fondazione Cariplo, Mario Calabresi, CEO of Chora and Will and Editor in Chief of Chora, Silvia Colombo, Senior Consultant of Ars Ambiente Srl, Simone Vesentini, Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano and Luca Locatelli, photographer and filmmaker.
“The Circle. Laboratories for a Circular Future” is indeed the natural continuation of Luca Locatelli’s exhibition hosted at the Gallerie d’Italia in Turin. Photographer and filmmaker, Locatelli has been involved for ten years in documenting the most promising solutions to deal with the climate crisis of the 21st century, stimulating the debate on the sustainable development of our future. In addition to the outreach activities open to the public and students, the format included the exhibition of the photographer’s shots at the IED until April 20th.
