Call4Circular x Greenthesis: Innovation at the Core

The Call4Circular x Greenthesis | Innovation for Environmental Services project, developed by the Circular Economy Lab for Greenthesis, aims to promote circular solutions in environmental services. This initiative targets innovative startups and SMEs, with the goal of optimizing resource life cycles, reducing waste, and encouraging regenerative business models. Backed by a solid network of partners and resources, Call4Circular serves as a catalyst for innovation in the circular economy, aligning with the global transition to ecological sustainability.

With 111 applications received from various countries, Call4Circular focused on four key areas identified by Greenthesis:

  • Material Recovery: Recovery of critical materials such as hard-to-recycle plastics and biomass.
  • Water: Management of water resources and pollutant treatment.
  • Energy & Environment: Clean energy production and reduction of environmental impact.
  • AI & Digital: Artificial intelligence and digitalization technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Following a rigorous scouting and evaluation phase, the most promising projects were invited to the Selection Day held on October 28th. During this event, startups and SMEs had the opportunity to present their solutions and explore potential technological, commercial, and entrepreneurial synergies with the Greenthesis Group.
