The Circular Economy LAB for SUMAS Sustainability Management School
A tailored research and project work activity aimed at preparing the future students and professionals of the circular economy: this was the goal and content of the meetings that the Circular Economy Lab team held between November 2023 and January 2024 for Sustainability Management School (SUMAS), a Swiss business school based in the Tortona district of Milan.
Lessons and workshops, each lasting two hours, were conducted by Paola Luisa Bassani, Cariplo Factory innovation analyst, and Sofia Cavini, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center circular economy analyst, leading to the development of a complex and structured research activity on the Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage sector, under the supervision of Katia Saro, SUMAS’ Responsible Management and Sustainable Project Management professor.
Specifically, the meetings curated by the Circular Economy Lab experts included an initial theoretical introduction to sector macro-trends, aimed at a research activity that allowed students to independently delve into the regulatory framework, state of the art, technologies, and characteristics of the Carbon Capture market. A research activity that enabled students to devise an innovative technological solution, developed and presented to their peers during the final workshop.
"We are very satisfied with the collaboration with the Circular Economy Lab team, capable of providing our students with the opportunity to delve into sustainability issues and aspects in a concrete and realistic manner. This partnership is an example of our commitment to experiential learning and preparing future leaders for the challenges of the circular economy" - declares Ms. Saro.
